Service Offerings
What is GIS?
GIS is the only higher education grant service created specifically to help small and mid-sized colleges and universities navigate and identify funding opportunities. GIS provides centralized access to federal grants intelligence, including a library of federal, state, and foundation funding opportunities, a customizable calendar of important dates, access to a webinar series, a personalized cabinet level grants intelligence briefing, and so much more!
Who generates the content for GIS?
GIS is fueled by McAllister & Quinn, a premier higher education consulting firm based in Washington, DC, that provides small and mid-sized colleges and universities with comprehensive services for grant-seeking, faculty training, and grant proposal development.
Is GIS AI generated?
No. All content in Grants Intelligence Service is researched, written, and reviewed by our team of experts. We rely on professional grant specialists, not AI, to ensure the information is accurate, relevant, and tailored to the needs of institutions of higher education.

How often is GIS updated?
GIS is updated daily to ensure you have the most current funding opportunities, insights, and resources available.
Do I have access to other McAllister & Quinn resources through GIS?
Yes. All McAllister & Quinn clients will also receive access to The Report, our DC Insider updates, and our full library of webinars, in addition to the GIS platform.
How does GIS define a "small" and "mid-sized" institution of higher education?
GIS uses the Carnegie classification of institutions to define very small, small, and mid-sized institutions; however, GIS may also be useful for institutions outside these classifications as a comprehensive resource for institutional and faculty research grants for non-R1 institutions.
